This past summer was filled with a lot of traveling, mixed with a lot of music. In the mix of it all, I was invited to appear on Global Soul TV, and we talked about something I love - music from a variety of genres. That same night, Scott, Tommy and I did our first performance together as the Back Pack Kids with “Slow Down.”

Here you see the process in which this song came about at Darkchild studios. Rodney has the Platinum records to back up his creativity and dance soul. Whenever I record a song I try to force the melody in my head a so I can become it while singing. Here’s an example of the repetition part while having fun dancing in the studio.

My uncle embarrassed the hell out of me when this first came out ha.. NO that is not me who ran away thats my cousin little Marlon and yes I was scared and got off the stage!! I miss doo doo so much he was the ultimate uncle full of magic, love, and fun. Our family days were so special and these are the memories I will forever hold closely to my heart.

We worked on this for about a year and the main point was to have fun while getting your attention.
